Acoustic Lullaby
by Kevin Lande
He went out to get a drink, but he don't know what he's in for, and she locks the door yes she locks the door, and he comes back can't get in, he hears someone come through the window, and he doesn't know what he's in for, he gets the door open, and he sees everything, he sees more than he wants to, oh all the things he wishes he was, oh all the things he's not, and he starts drinking insane, and he's ninety miles an hour no seat belt, but it is not the end, he finds himself a nice new job, a nice new place, a nice new babe, but he don't know what he's in for, goes out to get some smokes, and she locks the door, yes she locks the door, oh all the things he wishes he was, oh all the things he's not, and he comes back the door is locked, when he gets in he sees nothing unusual, and she pulls out a gun and aims it at his head, is this the end for him? the answer is no, and he makes a run for it and she goes behind bars, oh all the things he wishes he was, oh al the things he's not, it makes all the difference in the world, and three years later she escapes, goes to his apartment while he's in the shower singing his favorite song, the song that expresses him exactly: Oh how many times my life has been cheated, oh how many times I've been let down... but he don't know what he's in for, and she pulls out a gun and bang bang bang, three times in the head, but it is not the end, now he's in heaven, his soul mourning for his shell, then the girl dies, cheats her way into heaven, and the demon shoots his soul, and now it's over for him, you only have two lives, one on earth the other in heaven, in this case he is the third who has ever been banished forever, and I have nothing more to say this is were the story ends, I got no more to say. Oh all the things he wished he was, oh all the things that he was not.
Utopia
By Kevin Lande
She's dreaming, of Utopia, she's in a dream state, she's fantasizing about an ideal now ere-place, she's got to snap out of it. She's dreaming of Utopia, she's fantasizing about and appropriate nowhere, were the sun shines high and the grass is green, were there are no slums and out lawful criminals, were everyone is so nice that they seem like long lost friends of hers. She's dreaming of a place were there is no need for the military or police or fire crew, she's dreaming of an ideal nowhere, nothing can stop her from fantasizing about an appropriate nowhere. She's dreaming of the newest Garden of Eden. She can be hurt trying to walk the walk, or she can be stopped from talking the talk, but no-one can stop her from dreaming the unknown. Baby, she's dreaming of Utopia, an ideal nowhere, she's dreaming the dream. Oooooooooooooh, baby can't be stopped, ooooooooh, she's dreaming of a place were there is no need for the military, or the police, or the fire department, she's dreaming of a nowhere fantasy, 'no-one can stop her, nonetheless try to. She's dreaming of Utopia, a new Garden of Eden, she's dreaming the unknown dream. She's dreaming of an ideal nowhere, she's dreaming of Utopia, Utopia, yeah.
